Not Quite the C2C Festival Weekend

Did your diary pop up with a cruel reminder or was that just mine? It’s the Thursday before what would’ve been the postponed C2C festival. Which means it’s a year after we’d just met up with the country fan crew in a bar for pre-drinks only to find out the drinks were no longer ‘pre’. The Songwriters event which kicks off our epic country music weekend at the O2 was abruptly cancelled, and the whole festival was too, as US artists clamoured to fly home to beat Trump’s uncertain mention of closing the borders.

I probably didn’t need to recap this if you, like me, are still a bit in shock at a year without any in-person music. But stetsons off to those who’ve spent the past year making sure that that fateful Thursday wasn’t the day the music completely died. Various sources have been offering us glorious virtual gigs and distractions, and they’re upping the ante this weekend, on what would’ve been our postponed festival reunion.

Here are a few of the ways to compensate for it being just one. more. year. until C2C festival. Aaand breaaaathe….
