The uncharacteristically decent and consistent British weather of recent weeks vanished on cue. The law of Sod required rain in time for outdoor country music festival Nashville Meets London. But, since we don’t live in the right country to be fair-weather fans, we put on fetching free ponchos and made sure our hip flasks were filled with something suitably warming.
Resilient country fans huddled under sprinkling skies for an alarming number of songs about revenge, a surprising number of songs about Jesus and a healthy number of songs about whiskey. Stiff upper lips y’all…
