Shopping for your Inner Cowboy

We’re pleading guilty. One lovely reader has noted that our Honky Tonk High Street selection last week only included items for women. True. It’s almost as if CJ had used the blog as an excuse to do some shopping for her own wardrobe…

So to make amends, we’ve scoured the shops for some more masculine offerings. It’s been much tougher; it seems the rodeo trend has not hit the menswear catwalks. For men, A/W 2017 was all about corduroy and orange apparently. But there are still a few cowboy hints out there.

We’ve ignored the abundance of checked shirts in the shops (guessing you’ve got one already, right?) Instead we’ve picked a few more distinctive pieces to get you going. [See our shop and brand suggestions at the end].

So, there are a few Western tinged items scattered in the menswear sections. We’ve found ASOS, Topman and Liquor N Poker to be the best and using keyword “Western” helps. Of course there’s a high chance you won’t like our picks (we’ve never been men). For some expert guidance, check out men’s shopping website www.thread.com which finds out your personal style then suggests items especially for you.

Or, if you’re ready to go beyond the high street’s subtle hints and into full on western wear (trust us – a stetson will definitely suit you) check out the UK stockists listed in our own country fan shopping directory.

Happy styling,

Brits in Boots
